Alyssa Lopez, LPC, ATR-P Alyssa Lopez, LPC (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Provisional Art Therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique story.
Alyssa takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy. She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and works collaboratively to build insight, emotional awareness, and coping skills. By honoring personal experiences and resilience, she helps clients develop a strong foundation for growth and healing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Siena Heights University and her master’s degree in counseling and art therapy from Ursuline College.
Alyssa’s background in community mental health has given her experience working with diverse populations, including individuals navigating substance use concerns, youth programming, youth life and transition skills, migration and refugee services, and those experiencing housing instability.
Alyssa offers an eclectic approach, combining traditional talk therapy with creative and expressive techniques. She is mindful of how family, culture, and environment shape our experiences and strives to create a grounded, supportive space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered.
