Oliver Javorsky (He/Him) is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and currently pursuing his status as a provisional art therapist and training in EMDR. He is passionate about working from a client-centered framework, supporting clients at their own pace, and meeting them where they are with compassion and respect. He approaches counseling from an eclectic perspective, emphasizing the importance of genuine connection and the use of creative processes to explore life’s challenges and roadblocks while finding areas of resilience and strength.
Oliver strives to create a space for clients to feel seen, validated, and safe to be unapologetically themselves. Whether this be through laughter, exploring areas of special interest, or unpacking different aspects of identity. With this, he has a goal of offering a warm and affirming environment that honors each client’s lived experience.
He earned both his bachelor's and graduate degrees in art therapy and counseling as well as a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Ursuline College. Oliver has a strong and extensive background of working with neurodiverse populations, including those diagnosed with developmental disabilities such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Along with this he is also familiar with working from a trauma-informed lens, understanding how past experiences shape the present moment.
As a trans-masculine clinician, Oliver is deeply committed to supporting and advocating for LGBTQ+ clients, offering empathy and understanding informed by lived experience.
In his work, Oliver hopes to empower clients of all ages and backgrounds to address areas of concern such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns life transitions, as well as other areas of needs.
