Sarah (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Provisional Art Therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about supporting clients’ goals through creativity, compassion, and curiosity. She strives to create a warm and welcoming space where all experiences are valued and respected.
Sarah uses a collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach to therapy that builds on client strengths and life experiences to build emotional awareness, coping ability, and overall wellness and resilience. She believes strongly that people are better when we work together and is passionate about supporting clients on their journey to healing and wellness.
Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in fine art and psychology from Wittenberg University and her master’s degree in counseling and art therapy from Ursuline College. Sarah’s background working with children and adolescents in a school-based and open-studio setting has given her experience working with a variety of age groups from diverse populations. She has experience providing care to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and grief, as well as affirmative care to LGBTQIA+ individuals. She also has experience assisting clients in incorporating spiritual and religious experiences into the therapy process.
Sarah uses an eclectic approach, incorporating art and creative techniques into traditional talk therapy. She strives to build a therapeutic relationship tailored to each client’s needs and meet clients in their journey through mutual respect and collaboration.
